Anne M Cramer is a Minneapolis-based abstract artist whose work is driven by color, instinct and a healthy disregard for staying inside the lines.

Working primarily in acrylic, oil pastel, charcoal and pencil, Cramer builds paintings through layers—adding, obscuring, scratching back and starting again. The finished work often balances restraint with something less well-behaved: an unexpected mark, an imperfect edge, a shot of color that changes everything.

Her paintings are held in private collections and include both original and commissioned works.
